Samwoo Removable Strand Anchors
As the sole distributor in the UK for these innovative temporary anchors we can offer a complete solution where temporary anchorages are required to be removed cleanly, quickly and simply once they become redundant.
The use of conventional anchors in city centres is often discarded due to the logistical and practical constraints of the site. This is primarily due to way leave concerns, i.e. leaving potential obstructions for future development of the land and seeking third party approvals.
The Samwoo removable system is a cost effective anchor, which is relatively easy to install and remove. The whole anchor strand can be completely removed except for a small anchor body. The removal process can be generally done by hand. The strands are rotated to relax the wedge in the fixed anchor body and the strand is simply withdrawn via the plastic sheaths. Since Samwoo's initial development, the system has been extensively employed in a number of scenarios. Westfield shopping centre in Stratford applied the technology, providing lateral support to a sheet pile wall located between numerous numbers of piles. The removable anchors comply to BS8081 Acceptance testing
